About

Roger Mobile Key (RMK) application enables to use Android/iOS mobile devices for user identification in the access control system.

The BLE/NFC identification data transmitted to the access control reader is taken from the so-called REK (Roger Electronic Key) stored on the mobile device. The key is an encrypted file containing a user identification number and additional information specifying the conditions for the use of the key. Such a key is prepared by the administrator of the access control system and made available to the system user. In the general case, a user may have multiple identifiers and use them on different doors or systems. User identification can be implemented via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), NFC (Near Field Communication), CLIP, SMS, or by displaying a QR code on the screen of a mobile device.

Identification using NFC and QR technology requires the mobile device to be brought a few centimetres closer to the reader. When BLE identification is used, the mobile device can be up to a few metres from the reader, what makes it possible to use this form of identification to operating garage entrances, car parks etc. The transfer of the badge to the user is done remotely by electronic transmission.

The RMK app can be used both as a complement to and as a replacement for traditional identification methods using a proximity card, PIN and other form of identification.
