Hotel Automation

Among the many building categories, electronic access control has also found application in hotel facilities. The most popular solution commonly used in hotels is battery-powered mechatronic locks operating autonomously without connection to the management server. As a rule, systems of this type are limited to access control and do not offer building automation functions. An alternative to battery mechatronic locks is wired access control. In this case, in addition to the access control functions, such systems offer more or less advanced automation functions.

We offer wired access control and hotel automation based on three possible scenarios:

• as a part of RACS 4 access control system
• as a part of RACS 5 access control system
• as a part of the HRC controllers dedicated to hotel applications

As part of the scenario based on the RACS 4 system, it is possible to manage access to hotel rooms and shared areas (e.g. lobby). In terms of automation, the solution offers the possibility of using an intelligent proximity cardholder that controls the electric power supply of the room. The variant based on the RACS 4 system is intended primarily for guesthouses and small hotels.

Hotel automation within the RACS 5 access control system can be used in hotels of any size, but with typical requirements relating to room automation. The RACS 5 system offers advanced access control to hotel rooms and shared areas (e.g. lobby). As part of the automation, it is possible to control electricity, including light scenes, as well as the implementation of typical hotel signals (Do not disturb, Clean, Buffet, etc.). The system can be programmed with external software via the so-called Integration Server.

The solution based on HRC controllers and supplementary equipment enables:

• access control to hotel rooms and shared spaces (corridor, parking lot, elevators, conference rooms, swimming pool, gym, etc.)
• air conditioning / heating / cooling control in the hotel room (AC panel with temperature sensor)
• power and lighting control (cardholder)
• establishing a call system (assistance for the disabled, call for help, call manager / assistance, etc.)
• signaling of alarm states (force entry, door open for too long)
• signaling of needs for hotel service (do not disturb, please clean up)

Automation based on HRC controllers is intended for integrators who are ready to develop their own management software on the basis of devices offered by Roger and a communication protocol. Currently, on the basis of this part of the offer, the following hotel solutions are available on the market:

• SENSOR Hotel Room Automation System
