About

RUD-4-DES is a desktop reader and writer for MIFARE® Classic, Plus (S, X) and DESFire (EV1, EV2) cards which also allows reading an EM 125 kHz standard proximity cards.

It is supplied directly from a USB serial port, which is also used for communication with the PC. The device has a stable metal desktop stand with a card holder. The RUD-4-DES can be used as a card enrol reader for the access control system or any other application which requires a card reader. 

A card can be enrolled straight from the PR Master (version 4.4.6 or newer), VISO or using the Roger MiniReader application (version v1.1.12 or newer). RUD-4-DES can also provide a MIFARE card programming functionality, but in such cases RogerVDM application should be used. Roger Company offers the SDK programming package that enables a programmer to develop customized applications for specific requirements.
