About

The PSD4D distributes power supply and communication bus to 4 access doors in RACS 5 system.

For each door, it offers: main 1.0 A supply output, auxiliary 0.2 A supply output and communication interface to readers. The electronic circuits for each door are electrically separated what assures that in case of malfunction or sabotage, the problem from one door is not propagated to other doors.

The PSD4D is supplied from the external 13.8 VDC power supply which provides energy for door locks, readers and other door equipment. In case of main supply failure, entire system is supplied from the reserve battery which is connected to the PSD4D module and charged with selectable 0.3-0.9 A current. The electronic module is equipped with removable screw terminals which simplify installation and replacement of the module.

The PSD4D is generally dedicated for the access control systems based on the MCT-IO series readers which utilize their on-board IO lines to control door lock and other elements of the passage.
