We are pleased to present the latest version of the VISO system – 2.1.2, which introduces a range of significant improvements, integrations, and features that enhance flexibility and expand the capabilities of access control, video surveillance, and building automation management. This update focuses on extending integration options, improving user ergonomics, and expanding analytical and administrative functionalities – all in response to real user needs.

Integration with External Systems

One of the key areas of development in version 2.1.2 is the extended integration with external security systems. VISO now supports integration with the CIAS IB-System IP perimeter protection system, enabling more effective site security. This integration allows administrators to respond to perimeter breaches in real time, without the need for additional interfaces.

Another important addition is support for the RCC512 locker controller, which enables access management for deposit lockers – a solution particularly useful in sports facilities, industrial sites, and office environments.

Also noteworthy is the integration with the Avigilon Control Center video management system, which allows synchronization of access control events with video footage. This enables operators to quickly verify incidents and take appropriate action. Additionally, support for CCTV alarms via a virtual controller has been introduced, simplifying integration without the need for physical connections.

New Tools and User Features

Version 2.1.2 introduces VisitorWEB, a web-based application for managing visitor access via a browser. This convenient solution for reception and security teams allows remote guest registration without installing additional software.

Users of the RKDS key management systems now benefit from remote control of keys and doors, significantly increasing flexibility and security in managing access to rooms and resources.

Enhanced Reporting and Analytics

The new version also offers expanded reporting and data analysis capabilities. Administrators can now generate analytical reports that support system performance evaluation, anomaly detection, and preventive planning. Additionally, it is now possible to print reports from map-based notes, making it easier to document events in a spatial context.

System Enhancements

Among the many improvements, the ability to assign activity schedules to event-triggered actions stands out, allowing precise control of system responses based on time and day. A new option has also been added to adjust the transition mode when arming alarm zones, increasing configuration flexibility.

The SMS notification module has been enhanced with support for filters and schedules, enabling better customization of communication to organizational needs.

User and Visitor Management

Integration with Active Directory has been expanded with new mechanisms, such as automatic assignment of users to predefined groups and the ability to ignore selected groups. At the same time, the option to import users from AD via the data import wizard has been removed, streamlining account management.

The Visitor module now includes white and blacklists, allowing automatic differentiation of access levels based on visitor status.

Elevator and Automation Integrations

Version 2.1.2 extends integration with elevator systems – Port Technology (Schindler) now supports the Call by ID method, and KONE Access allows mapping of credential types. These are important enhancements for multi-story buildings where elevator access control is critical.

The module for configuring links to video and image files has also been expanded, allowing associations with automation nodes and fire alarm control panels, improving clarity and response times in emergency situations.

Card Design Capabilities

Finally, the card design module has been improved with support for batch and double-sided printing, enabling the creation of more advanced and visually appealing ID cards.

Summary

VISO 2.1.2 not only builds upon existing features but also introduces entirely new capabilities tailored to the needs of modern security systems. With new integrations, tools, and enhancements, the platform becomes even more flexible, scalable, and user-friendly – suitable for both small installations and complex enterprise environments.
