The MCT82M-IO-HR is a RACS 5 system terminal dedicated to hotel installations.
The main function of the device is to provide room entry control and presentation of the hotel signalisations: Do Not Disturb, Make up the Room, Emergency Call and Service Call. Besides mentioned, the terminal offers door bell button and programmable built-in IO lines.
The door bell can be signalised on an internal buzzer located on any MCT terminal installed in the room or electronic sounder connected to any terminal’s output. The built-in IOs can be used to control electric equipment (e.g. door lock, siren, electrical supply) and for connection of additional push buttons, switches and sensors (e.g. light switches, door contact, window contact).
Along with card holder terminal (MCT82M-IO-CH or MCT86M-IO-CH-HR), the MCT82M-IO-HR can compose the set of hardware which enables access and basic hotel room automation. Using RACS 5 Integration server third party applications can monitor system operation and provide extra functionality which is not originally available in the system.
The MCT82M-IO-HR operates with encrypted memory of the MIFARE® proximity cards what protects the system from the use of non-native cards and from cloning of the original ones. The logic of the entire system is provided by the controller to which the terminal has to be connected through the RS485 addressable communication bus.
