**Description: Is communication interface necessary to configure PRTxxEM/MF reader?**

**Solution:**

In order to configure terminals with RARC software there is no such need to use additional communication interface like UT-2 or so. Connection of the terminal is made directly on DB9 plug (female) according to the schema provided in the device manual. Plug has to be connected to RS-232 port in PC (COM Port).

If PC doesn't have serial RS-232 port one can use USB converter-programmer **RUD-1** for PRT EM/MF series readers.
