Each monitored key is permanently attached to the RFID fob by the user. Key-fob attachment does not require any specialized tool or seal. If necessary, the key and fob can be paired with an additional seal. Each key is stored in an individual container with a cover. Access to keys is limited to authorized users only and according to predefined schedules. Users are identified by a proximity card and/or PIN. Keys can be divided into two groups: internal and external. The key from the internal group can be collected by the user only if he/she returned earlier all keys belonging to the external group. The user can reserve the key for a certain time. It is also possible to set the maximum time for which a specific key can be picked up or the time when it must be returned. In case of emergency, keys can be released from the emergency panel to which access is protected by means of a traditional key. Any attempt to open boxes or the device enclosure in a forced way is registered in the event log and can be signalled on the external device or system (alarm system, alarm siren, etc.). RKD24CT-SE is equipped with touch-type graphical control panel which can control up to four cabinets (1 master RKD24CT-SE cabinet and 3 RKD24CT-EXT or RKD32EXT extension cabinets). Users can be identified on the control panel, external reader with the Wiegand interface or any MCT series reader (Roger). It can be the RFT1000 MIFARE card/fingerprint reader (Roger), MCT84M-BK-QR card/QR code reader, or MCT80M-BLE card/mobile reader. ![Group of 4 Cabinets with Shared Control Panel](https://www.roger.pl/images/zarzadzanie-kluczami/RKD32/rkd32-kaskada.png "Group of 4 Cabinets with Shared Control Panel") The control panel’s software offers a user-friendly, icon-based graphic interface that requires just a short training before use. RKD24CT-SE cabinets can be operated in a standalone or in a networked system. In networked mode cabinet configuration and event monitoring are conducted by RACS 5 access system (Roger). The same access credentials (card, PINs) can be used in the access control system and electronic key cabinet. In standalone mode, the cabinet can be managed from the graphical panel or remotely, via a web browser.
