Interpretation of numbers printed on the EMC-1 card

Description:
On the EMC-1 cards there are serial numbers printed, for example: 0004329479323 014, 40091. What do they mean?

Solution:

Thirteen digit card number, for example 0004329479323 , is a 40 bit unique card code in decimal format (13 decimal digits), which identifies user in RACS system. Following 24 bit block determines Facility Code and Card serial number.
014 - Facility Code
40091 - Card serial number

Facility Codes allow to define access on particular controllers, for example 10 thousand cards with number 014 will have access rights on a basis of that number.
