The new access terminal enables the identification of users in the access control system by reading: - QR code - [BLE/NFC mobile ID](https://www.roger.pl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=449:mobile-identification&catid=118:system-solutions&lang=en-GB&Itemid=440) - proximity card: - MIFARE Ultralight® - MIFARE® Classic - MIFARE® DESFire® - MIFARE Plus® The reader supports Roger-compliant encrypted QR codes or unencrypted codes. Encrypted QR codes are generated from the access control system management software. They can be available as a printed image (label) or displayed on a phone. When connected to an MC16 controller, the QR reader (MCT84M-BK-QB) can operate as an access control and/or time and attendance (T&A) terminal and at the same time be a control point for building automation available in the RACS 5 system. Optionally, the reader can be configured to work with an open communication protocol and used outside the RACS 5 system (e.g. in automation systems or office management applications). The reader's enclosure has a design-neutral appearance, so it blends in well with both traditional and modern interiors. The terminal can be used successfully wherever [secure - mobile or proximity - identification](https://www.roger.pl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=737:cyber-security-of-proximity-credentials&catid=202:blog-news&lang=en-GB&Itemid=1039) of users is required. It is therefore suitable for use in office buildings and other commercial premises, public sector facilities, factories and industrial facilities as well as others using access control, time & attendance or building automation systems.
