Roger Mobile Key App for User Identification

Roger Mobile Key App for User Identification

Roger Mobile Key (RMK) is an app for mobile device (Android, iOS) which enables user identification in RACS 5 access control system and RCP Master 3 Time & Attendance software.

The user identification data used for mobile identification is retained in electronic key (REK – Roger Electronic Key) stored in mobile device. The REK is an encrypted file which includes user identification number and additional information related to conditions under which electronic key can be utilised. The REK can be enrolled manually into mobile app or generated by access control system administrator and then made available to access user. In general case a user can have multiple RMK keys and use them as needed on multiple terminals. The transmission between app and terminal can be conducted through BLE (Bluetooth), NFC (Near Field Communication) or QR code displayed on mobile device screen.

In case of NFC and QR identification mobile device have to be placed in a few centimetres distance from terminal. In case of BLE identification the mobile device can communicate in a distance of a few meters so this method can be used at driveways and gates to avoid user stepping out of the car for the purpose of identification. The electronic key can be delivered to user remotely by message with RMK file.

The RMK app can be used along with other methods of identification (card, PIN) or substitute them.
