Overprint with personalization

General information

The possibility to make custom print is offered on proximity cards made of PVC with ISO dimensions (85mm/54mm) and the thickness of 0.8 mm (cards EMC-1, EMC-4, MFC-1, MFC-2, MFC-3). It is possible to make two kinds of print:

-  thermosublimation color printing

-  thermotransfer monochrome printing - black

It is possible to put on cards a graphical customization (picture), a name, a number or a bar-code, according to design delivered by customer.

Materials and data

Data for personalization should be delivered in *.xls file (Excel). If pictures files are delivered together with project, their names should be included on the list with data for personalization. Delivered data is not subject to verification during overprint realization.
Pictures should be delivered in electronic form in 300 dpi resolution, in RGB, as *.jpg ; *.tiff ; *.png files, in size adjust to overprint project. Pictures files names should be numbers related with personalization data from *.xls file. Pictures which will not be adjust to project will be scaled to fit. This could affect overprint aesthetics.

We accept projects in *.cdr (Corel) file only as ready to overprint (that does not require any further processing). Non standard types of fonts should be attach to the project or exchange to standard ones. We also recommend to save texts as vectors, which improves overprint quality.
If projects are made individually (separate project for each person), they should be delivered as 300 dpi *.jpg or *.tiff files, RGB, with file names related to Excel database.

Copyrights

Customer is responsible for eventual infringement of copyrights in delivered project.

Thermosublimation printing - quality

Quality of tonal gradations between colors and color scale in thermosublimation color printing method can be a little bit differ than original colors in project. This is caused by protective overlay, which secures against obliteration and gives gloss effect.
The specificity of the method of printing in certain circumstances, reveals its limitations in the printing on the edges of the card and the card on uneven surfaces.

Use and sustainability

Read out of proximity transponders is carried out on a contact-less basis. Lack of direct contact provides significant durability of printing. Overprint permanence depends on cards usage. We recommend to use cards holders (CH-1, CP-1, CP-2, CP-3) on neck lanyards (NL-1, NL-2), chains (NC-1) with badge clips (BC-1). This should improve durability of cards overprint.

Offset overprint

General information

We offer also possibility to order proximity cards with high quality color overprint without personalization. Each inquiry related to this type of printing is considered individually.

Materials and data

Overprint project should be delivered in one of following file formats: *.cdr (CorelDraw), *.AI (Adobe illustrator), *.PDF (above 600dpi) or *.JPG (above 600 dpi). Other formats are acceptable, however in such case files should be verified and approved by supplier.
